MATERIALS SCHEDULE — BRIGHTON, VIC
SELECTIONS BY APPOINTMENT
This page explains what happens to the information you send through this website — the enquiry form, the pages you view and the technical records our hosting keeps. It describes only what this site actually does. Nothing more is implied.
Bathroom Renovation Brighton operates this website to explain our bathroom renovation services, show design references, publish renovation advice and receive enquiries from homeowners in Brighton and the surrounding Bayside suburbs.
The policy below applies to this website and to the enquiry information you choose to send us through it. It follows the general obligations set out in the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles, which are the standards we work to when handling personal information.
We collect personal information for one practical reason: to understand a renovation enquiry well enough to respond to it sensibly. A suburb tells us whether a project sits inside the areas we work in. A renovation type tells us whether you are describing an ensuite, a compact bathroom or a full bathroom rebuild. Timeframe and budget ranges tell us how to talk about scope. None of it is collected for any purpose beyond that conversation.
Four categories, indexed the way we would index a finishes schedule. Nothing sits outside these blocks.
Name, email, phone, suburb, renovation type, budget range, timeframe and the project details you type in the message field. You decide how much detail to include; a name and one contact method is enough to reply.
Like most websites, our hosting keeps standard access logs: IP address, browser and device type, the page requested, and the date and time. These are used for security, fault-finding and keeping the site stable.
Small files that help the enquiry form work, protect against spam submissions, and — where site measurement is switched on — count page views in aggregate. They are not used to build a profile of you or to follow you around other websites for advertising.
When you send an enquiry, the entry is saved inside this WordPress website’s own database and is also passed to the business email address we monitor. That is the whole path. Enquiries are not pushed into an external marketing platform, not synced to an advertising audience, and not shared with other trades or suppliers unless a specific part of your project makes that necessary and you have asked us to arrange it.
Access to stored enquiries is limited to the people who run this business and the technical provider who maintains the site. The website is served over an encrypted connection, and the software, themes and plugins are kept updated as part of ordinary maintenance. No website can promise absolute security, so we do not; we take reasonable steps and we keep the amount of information we hold small.
We keep enquiries for as long as they are useful — an active conversation, a quote under discussion, or a record of work we have talked about. Where an enquiry is clearly finished with and no longer needed, it is removed. If you would like your enquiry deleted sooner, tell us through the contact page and we will remove it from the site database and our email records.
The four we are asked most often about the form. Renovation questions are answered on the FAQ page.
No. Name and one contact method are what we need to reply. Suburb, renovation type, budget range and timeframe simply make the first answer more useful — a small bathroom in a period cottage and a full luxury rebuild are very different conversations.
Not automatically. Sending an enquiry starts a conversation about your project, not a subscription. If we ever offer a mailing list, joining it would be a separate, deliberate step you take yourself.
Yes. You can ask what enquiry information we hold about you, ask us to correct anything inaccurate, or ask us to delete it. Send the request through the contact page using the same details you originally supplied so we can match the record.
Every major browser lets you block or clear cookies, and you can browse this site with them restricted. Some functions — most notably submitting the enquiry form and its spam protection — may not behave correctly if cookies are blocked entirely.
If you believe your information has been handled poorly, raise it with us first through the contact page. Describe what happened and what you would like done — usually correction or deletion — and we will look into it and tell you the outcome.
If you are not satisfied with how we deal with it, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner is the body that handles privacy complaints in Australia and publishes guidance on making one.
This policy describes how the website works today. If the site changes — a new form field, a different measurement tool, an embedded service — the wording here is updated to match, and the updated version replaces this one on this page.
Using the site or sending an enquiry means you accept the version published at that time. The terms of use cover the rest: what the content on this site is, how the photography should be read, and the limits of the information published across our service pages and service areas.
Send as much or as little as you like. The form asks for your name, email, phone, suburb, renovation type, budget range, timeframe and project details, and it goes only to us. If you would rather ask a question about this policy first, use the same form and say so.
